Soil Science Minor Requirements

Students in another department or degree program may include a minor in Soil Science in their POW. In such cases, at least one Graduate Faculty member from Soil Science must be appointed to the student’s Advisory Committee.

PhD Students

PhD students minoring in Soil Science must include 12 credit hours of soil science courses on their Plan of Work. Additionally, we encourage students to enroll in one credit of Soil Science Seminar (SSC 801).

Masters Students

Masters students minoring in Soil Science must include at least 9 credit hours of soil science courses on their Plan of Work. Additionally, we encourage students to enroll in one credit of Soil Science Seminar (SSC 601).
