Counseling Center

The Counseling Center provides a wide range of services and resources if you find yourself struggling with depression, anxiety, or other stressors that are interfering with your work as a graduate student.

Student Health Services

NC State Student Health Services is designed to meet the health needs of NC State students. Highly qualified professionals provide top quality care and can assist with referrals to on and off campus resources. As a part of tuition and fees, the health fee at NC State covers routine visits to providers (physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners). Services with a charge are offered at prices competitive with the community.

NC State Wellness and Recreation empowers the Wolfpack community to thrive. The Student Ombuds Office is an independent, neutral, confidential and informal office at NC State to assist students and be a personal guide for conflict management, prevention and resolution. We advocate for fair processes, working to empower the student to successfully navigate NC State to address challenges and identify resources.

Student Legal Services

Student Legal Services provides legal education, advice, and representation within the scope of the prepaid student legal services plan. The service focuses on helping students resolve their legal problems with as little disruption as possible to their educational endeavors. The office promotes preventive law, equipping students to make informed choices.

Pack Essentials

NC State and campus partners have developed many programs to support students in need of food, housing, financial, and educational security. These are all aggregated under the Pack Essentials web site.

Writing Support Services

The Graduate School Resources: offers support for writing and communication, as these are essential for your success as a graduate student, regardless of your academic discipline or intended career field. The Graduate School is committed to helping you access the forms of writing that command power in your research fields and professional communities so that you can complete your degree and establish a trajectory for long term writing success.

The Graduate Writing Center in the University Tutorial Center also provides resources for graduate students.  This program focuses on a peer-centered model of writing support. Appointments for assistance are available.
